Cuore di Langa is a grower of Piedmont IGP hazelnuts from the Langhe. Cuore di Langa Spread with 65% Piedmont IGP hazelnuts from the Langhe and Peruvian cocoa butter is a spread made with only three noble ingredients: 62% Piedmont IGP hazelnuts from the Langhe, fine cocoa butter from Peru, and Italian beet sugar.
The Cuore di Langa hazelnut groves begin at Bricco Beric at 790 meters above sea level, a historic crossroads of the Via del Sale, and gradually descend along the banks of the three Alta Langa streams—the Arzola, the Cusina, and the Rea—to an altitude of 450 meters. This wide range in altitude, combined with the diverse soil types, gives the hazelnuts a distinct and distinct influence on their organoleptic properties. Only in this way can the “terroir” of each Cuore di Langa product be fully appreciated, resulting in a unique and unmistakable flavor derived exclusively from the hazelnuts grown on that particular slope and in that particular soil. Some of Cuore di Langa’s hazelnut groves give rise to truly exclusive crus with unique organoleptic qualities.
