Dark chocolate Bar – Made by Hogarth
The eco-region Lachua, around lake Lachua is home to Q’eqchi’ Maya families, many of whom live off grid and rely on production of cacao, honey, cardamom, corn and other crops for their livelihoods, all harvested from 200 hectares around the lake.
We only bought three sacks from Uncommon Cacao back in 2016 and had them frozen immediately to preserve their flavour. Three years later we are finally able to pull them out and make some amazing chocolate. It is estimated we will get around 3000 bars out of these beans which means this will be a Limited Edition.
The chocolate is smooth & creamy with notes of licorice and blackberry.

If the temperature exceeds 24° C, we ship orders using special insulating packaging and ice-gel. This type of packaging resists temperatures up to 35° C for approximately 3 days. At no additional cost!
Before shipping we check the weather forecast relating to our Turin warehouse, the destination location and the locations along the route (if known). We ensure that parcels are collected by the courier as late as possible in the afternoon. in case of hot weather we ship Monday to Wednesday depending on the expected transit time. And to exclude the risk of parcels being stored in a courier's warehouse over the weekend.
