Este chocolate está elaborado con una mezcla de variedades híbridas y acriolladas de la región del Soconusco, al sur de Chiapas. La mezcla es de aroma cítrico y afrutado, muy intenso, con notas de pan tostado y uvas pasas.
El Soconusco es la región originaria de producción de cacao en México. Probablemente sea uno de los primeros lugares donde se cultivó el cacao a escala, en tiempos precolombinos. Este cacao se compra directamente a los productores a precios justos, a cambio de una selección y un tratamiento post-cosecha cuidadoso.
