Porcelana; the famous heirloom cacao of Venezuela. This rare variety fruits a beautifully light pod, yielding a superior nutty ﬂavour. We have yet to visit Venezuela, but we do know from our supplier Campo Lindo that the farmers are based in La Orquídea, Zulia State (Sure de Lago) and are paid a premium price ($6.40 per Kg) at the farm gate for their dried authentic Porcelana cacao.
