Pastel de Nata is one of the most famous Portuguese desserts in the world. In Portugal, you can find this wonderful dessert in any cafe, but its origin goes back to the Pasteis de Belém factory. It was created in 1837, when it inherited the ancestral recipe from the Jerónimos Monastery of the time, and even today its original recipe remains a secret.
The crunchy puff pastry, the creamy cream with a subtle touch of lemon, and on top of the burnt cream, always a pinch of cinnamon to accompany it… Feitoria do cacao Nicaragua 57% milk chocolate manages to perfectly harmonize and integrate these elements , adding again, an irresistible combination with cocoa.
Feitoria do cacao has managed to transform this chocolate into reality, thanks to the collaboration with the AZEDA artisan bakery, which has produced one of the most important elements of this recipe: the handmade puff pastry.
