We’ve loved exploring the depths of Venezuelan cacao for years, and are excited to finally bring you our very first production bar from the Patanemo region!
Originally founded by runaway slaves, the village of Patanemo in Venezuela is derived from “paz tenemos” which means “we have peace.” The trees grow at high elevation on a steep incline, unusual for cacao which normally grows in dense canopy in valleys. Patanemo particularly stands out for its complex yet familiar chocolatey flavor. Exported by Tisano Cacao, whose dedication to quality and the farmers is as strong as ours.

If the temperature exceeds 24° C, we ship orders using special insulating packaging and ice-gel. This type of packaging resists temperatures up to 35° C for approximately 3 days. At no additional cost!
Before shipping we check the weather forecast relating to our Turin warehouse, the destination location and the locations along the route (if known). We ensure that parcels are collected by the courier as late as possible in the afternoon. in case of hot weather we ship Monday to Wednesday depending on the expected transit time. And to exclude the risk of parcels being stored in a courier's warehouse over the weekend.
